FAQ
Do Medicare or Medicaid cover medical courier services?
In some cases, yes. Medicare and Medicaid may reimburse healthcare providers for courier services when medically necessary — such as transporting diagnostic specimens to a lab.
Providers may use the following HCPCS billing codes:
• P9603 – Per-mile travel allowance
• P9604 – Flat rate travel allowance
Note: Capoise MedSwift does not bill insurance directly. However, providers may include our courier fees as part of their claim when eligible.
Can I schedule recurring deliveries?
Absolutely. We support recurring medical courier routes for:
• Laboratory specimen pickups
• Medication delivery to outpatient locations
• Long-term care home visits
• Standing appointments from clinics and hospitals
Request recurring service through our Recurring Delivery Request Form or contact us directly to set up your schedule.
How does Capoise MedSwift ensure chain of custody?
Every transport includes:
• Secure pickup and delivery logs
• QR code-enabled proof-of-delivery
• Digital timestamps and location capture
• Labeled UN3373 containers for diagnostic specimens
• HIPAA-compliant tracking and recordkeeping
Are your temperature controls compliant with healthcare and regulatory standards?
Yes. Our transport protocols meet or exceed industry standards for clinical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory logistics. We ensure:
2–8°C cold chain compliance for temperature-sensitive specimens
20–25°C ambient conditions within transport cabins
GxP-ready, PDF-logged data for every trip
Spill-absorbent materials, upright securement, and biohazard labeling
QR-based chain-of-custody documentation
All systems are designed to align with HIPAA, OSHA, DOT, and clinical quality assurance protocols.
